Mixed moment as I walk through the rather upper-class neighborhood. Stately homes with stellar lawns. Then I see him. I see an elderly man slowly…slowly…shuffle to his car. Well, not just any car. A black Bentley. But first he weaves (slowly) around one black Jaguar F-Type and a one black Porsche.
I walk. I watch.
And then the neighborhood church bells ring. Long. It’s noon. Slow and intentional bells ring. He shuffles. Almost there.
Then perhaps the Spirit says, “Life will soon end for him…and you.”
I wonder if the man is a retired accountant.
I walk to my destination and ponder my ledger.
