So, when I first heard the request to join the WPD group, it seemed like any other group Bible study. I was honored to be apart, but I really did not understand what I soon understood. WPD was and remains family to me. WPD was a place where we were heard and where you could ask the tough questions.
WPD drew me closer to my peers and to you [Dr. M.] as brothers in Christ. Over the years, WPD helped me through small rough patches. WPD taught me new perspectives on God’s word and how to live…accordingly…every day. WPD helped me understand others a little bit better and helped me understand God just a little bit better. To be there with the guys learning, laughing, and growing was great.
I will miss WPD; they were and continue to be an exceptional group of guys. A bit of life will never be the same. Real life begins now [post-graduation] and WPD helped me appreciate life outside of sport and the university. WPD is so special. The connections and memories will stay with me forever.
